Editorial Specialist

Links Global is seeking a skilled Editorial Specialist to support various government-agency based full-time positions. As an Editorial Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality copyediting and proofreading services for publications, ensuring compliance with copyright, trademark laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide editorial services to develop and produce a variety of print, digital, and photographic products
• Devise and establish editorial style sheets and/or templates for use when copyediting/proofreading a variety of print/digital publications
• Ensure that all print deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional editorial/copy editing experience, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional proofreading skills. They will also possess superior oral and written communication skills, thorough knowledge of grammar and syntax, and outstanding organizational skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field
• At least 10 years of professional editorial/copy editing experience
• Possess a keen eye for detail and exceptional proofreading skills
• Experience in reviewing reports and miscellaneous multi-page publications

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. The position requires staff to pass a suitability investigation (background check) and may involve working from home with occasional meetings in Rockville or Washington DC.
