About the Role
As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) with Sentara, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in either inpatient or outpatient Emergency Department settings. This position is an excellent gateway to begin your career in the medical field, offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency and minor emergency care patients.
- Perform patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
- Clinical experience (less than 1 year)
- De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
