Job Title: FT Night Weekend Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining high-quality images.

Responsibilities:Equipment and Imaging:
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Adjust technique to minimize radiation exposure and ensure image quality.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor or service provider.
  • Clean and maintain equipment according to infection control policy.
Patient Care:
  • Obtain complete clinical history and gather examination data.
  • Assess for contraindicating conditions and follow established procedures.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and marker usage.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results.
Quality Control:
  • Produce high-quality images with proper collimation, shielding, and technique selection.
  • Ensure equipment is fully operational before use.
  • Send studies to PACS and print CDs as necessary.
Operations:
  • Restock linens and supplies, and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Transport patients, position patients, and assist with procedures.
  • Perform patient charging activities and apply shielding devices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
