SUMMARY:

Our team is seeking a motivated and dynamic Lead Thermal Systems Engineer who will primarily focus on supporting the design, validation, and assembly of Axiom products.

This role reports to the Thermal Temperature & Humidity Controls Manager and is based at our SSDF facility.

This position has multiple openings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thermal analysis related to space applications
Validate findings through manual calculations
Create and manage Thermal Desktop Thermal Math Models
Document all work performed
Select components
Test components
Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
5-10 years of experience in spacecraft thermal analysis or a comparable combination of education and experience
5-10 years of experience in equipment specification or a similar field
Experience with spacecraft active thermal control systems is advantageous
Proficient in performing manual or spreadsheet calculations
Experience in selecting parts and collaborating with suppliers
Familiarity with thermal and/or vacuum testing

Essential Functions

Work Environment:
Typically an office setting, but may involve indoor or outdoor tasks depending on requirements.

Must be able to pass a U.S. government background investigation
