UF Health Shands is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner I to join our Bone Marrow Transplant Unit team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, working closely with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist attending physicians in patient care and management, including making rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, writing orders, and coordinating therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Provide frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly.
- Consult with supervisory physicians to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in shared call hours, phone coverage, and seeing admitted patients within the hospital.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
- BLS certification.
- Acute Care ARNP or PA experience required.
- ICU experience.
- Emergency Medicine experience.
- NICU experience.
