Job Summary

Copper Mountain College is seeking a highly qualified Earth Science Instructor to join our team of part-time faculty members. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of geology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for geology courses, including lectures, laboratories, and fieldwork.
  • Develop and implement instructional materials, including textbooks, handouts, and online resources.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on assignments and exams.
  • Supervise students in laboratory and field settings.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of geology programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography, or paleontology.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in geology and Master's degree in geography, physics, or geochemistry.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching geology courses at the community college level.
  • Strong knowledge of geology principles and concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
