Physical Therapy Aide Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide to join our team at Physical Rehabilitation Network. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas, patients, equipment, and materials.
  • Support physical therapy care delivery by performing procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, and providing necessary assistance.
  • Provide information to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Help treat patients by applying heat packs and ice packs, assisting with exercises, and monitoring progress.
  • Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred.
  • 6 months+ related experience preferred.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry or move 25-50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
