A Central Coast landmark, The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented team member to join our hospitality team.
Job OverviewWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about maintaining a clean and safe work environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout our property.
Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness of all back-of-house areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, prep areas, and dishwashing area
- Participate in deep cleaning of back-of-house areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, prep areas, and dishwashing area
- Provide clean restaurant wares for front-of-house and back-of-house departments
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management
- Assist with receiving deliveries and rotating stock when needed
- Empty and maintain trash bins and dumpster area
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Work collaboratively with back-of-house staff and front-of-house staff
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Basic understanding of working in a professional kitchen
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
- High volume restaurant experience preferred
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
- Strong time management skills and able to execute tasks consistently and effectively
- Full availability (including weekends)
$19.57 per hour
