Chess Instructor

Chess Wizards is seeking experienced and passionate Chess Tutors to join our after-school enrichment program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach chess to children in a fun and interactive manner.
• Cultivate a love for the game and develop students' problem-solving skills.
• Conduct classes with 10-15 kids and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Implement Chess Wizards' curriculum and class materials.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to students.
• Maintain promptness and punctuality.
• Implement COVID-19 prevention practices.

Requirements:

• Some chess ability (Champion level not required).
• USCF rating is a plus.
• Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus.
• Ability to teach young ones that knowledge and creativity are true magic.
• Talent to encourage connections between chess problem-solving with real-life problem-solving.
• Capability to drive between locations.
• Ability to fully utilize Chess Wizards' curriculum and class materials.
