Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic II to join our MICU team at Atlantic Health System. As a Paramedic II, you will be responsible for delivering advanced life support and basic life support procedures in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced life support and basic life support procedures as outlined in the Atlantic Health System MICU policy and procedure manual and New Jersey State Department of Health MICU Regulations
  • Maintain MICU vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain equipment and drug inventory levels
  • Proper completion and distribution of necessary run forms as to patient care procedures performed and all required documentation necessary for statistics and record keeping
  • Operation of MICU vehicle in emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Maintenance of crew quarters
  • Participation in assigned hospital public relations programs
  • Attendance of staff meetings and mandatory training sessions
  • Compliance with necessary recertification guidelines as outlined in the New Jersey State Department of Health MICU Regulations and Atlantic Health System policies and procedures
  • Participation with MICU CQI
  • Completion of other related duties as deemed necessary by the EMS Division Administration and Medical Oversight Board
Requirements
  • Meet requirements of NJAC 8:41 regarding EMS/MICU Training/Certification requirements within 30 days of employment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate from a recognized paramedic didactic program required NJ or Registered Nurse with completed MICN endorsement from NJOEMS
  • Current NJ MICU certification or within 30 days of employment
  • Some college preferred
