The Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology at Oregon Health & Science University is a prominent entity, boasting over 110 faculty members. Our clinical services cater to a substantial influx of new patients each year.

Our institution, recognized for its pioneering cancer research and treatment methodologies, strives to transform the landscape of cancer care. The successful conclusion of a significant fundraising initiative has equipped us with ample resources to support innovative projects in cancer detection and therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer
  • Engage in clinical trials and aid in their formulation
  • Conduct research activities to deepen the understanding of breast cancer etiology
  • Participate in educational initiatives for medical students and healthcare staff
  • Provide consultative expertise to external organizations in line with departmental objectives

This role encompasses clinical duties, educational responsibilities, research/academic contributions, and service commitments. Academic standing will be determined based on qualifications.

Essential Qualifications

  • MD or MD/PhD qualification
  • Valid medical license in Oregon
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
  • Proven dedication to outstanding patient care and clinical research
  • Established record of excellence in teaching and research

Desirable Attributes

  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in obtaining funding for clinical trials or research initiatives
