Job Summary

Reality Labs at Meta is a pioneering team that's revolutionizing the way people connect, work, and play. As an OS Frameworks Engineer, you'll be part of a world-class team developing innovative hardware and software that's redefining the future of computing platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of future capabilities for Meta Reality Labs, ensuring best-in-class VR devices.
  • Design and develop APIs in the system-level framework layer, enabling other layers to implement compelling and performant use cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build end-to-end solutions, including partners, product managers, and engineers.
  • Work with Application and Platform teams to debug functional, performance, and stability issues across the stack.
  • Develop and implement significant improvements to OS internals, setting technical direction for the team.
  • Uplift coding and design skills through reviews and introduction of best practices, modeling behaviors through clean, readable code.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing desktop applications, operating systems, AOSP, identity, device management on iOS/Android, device security, or Android Enterprise.
  • Experience with Android, macOS, or Windows internals or frameworks services.
  • Experience with coding in both C++ and Java.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Android internals, AOSP, Android SDK, Android NDK, Android JNI, Android IPC mechanisms, or Linux OS development.
  • 1+ years of experience developing software for mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
  • Experience with Android performance tools and security models.
  • Experience with Android UI frameworks and services.
Compensation and Benefits

$85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
