Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Swim Teacher to join our team at the Kroc Center. As a Swim Teacher, you will be responsible for leading both group and private lessons, ensuring swimmers of all ages and skill levels progress and thrive in the water. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities to work as little as 1 shift per week.
About the Role
- Teach group and private swim lessons to participants of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop and implement progressive lesson plans that cater to the needs of each participant.
- Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents (if applicable).
- Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress and attendance.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in teaching swim lessons to diverse groups of participants.
- American Red Cross Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required within 60 days of hire; Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
