What to Expect as a State Tested Nursing Assistant

As a State Tested Nursing Assistant with IntelyCare, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other post-acute settings. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitoring residents throughout the shift and alerting the broader nursing team to any concerns
  • Checking temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, and reporting any abnormal events to supervising staff
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment by changing linens and helping to clean residents' rooms, etc.
  • Moving residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, and exam tables
  • Offering companionship and a compassionate, engaged ear to residents and their loved ones
  • Understanding how to communicate with visitors, family members, and staff
  • Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful as a State Tested Nursing Assistant with IntelyCare, you'll need to have:

  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
  • Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures
  • Strong observational skills and a high level of attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals and residents
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
