About This Role

This is a direct hire position for a DevOps Security Specialist. As part of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, integrating security practices into the development operations lifecycle, and ensuring the reliability and performance of these pipelines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Automate repeatable tasks to improve the software development lifecycle using cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Integrate version control tools automatically trigger processes on branch updates, troubleshoot and resolve build issues to ensure high reliability of the pipeline.
  • Educate teams on security best practices and encourage secure development practices, increase team awareness of common threats and their mitigation strategies.
  • Implement monitoring tools to detect and respond to security threats across the development pipeline and production environment, use tools to continuously scan for vulnerabilities in code and third-party libraries.
  • Integrate automated testing frameworks into build pipelines that ensure code quality, identify and track metrics that measure the reliability and performance of CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements

All applicants must be US citizens and able to obtain a 'Secret' clearance level due to the nature of the projects. Candidates with an active 'Secret' clearance are preferred.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, demonstrated experience building and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience in security testing and automation, experience in threat modeling & detection, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI, experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using version controls systems (e.g. Git), experience with shell scripting tools such as PowerShell and Bash.

Salary

This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
