Job Summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in a top healthcare facility.

Job Description

As a Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring extended medical treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing care for 5-6 patients in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitoring and administering medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and IV administration
  • Educating patients and families on surgical processes and managing their illness/injury
  • Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment used on patients, and recording and interpreting electronic displays
  • Interpreting telemetry readings and notifying the medical team of any irregularities
  • Performing the duties required of a registered nurse at all times

Requirements

To be considered for this Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse position, you must have:

  • Active RN License
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting
  • Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes, and ability to read Tele-strips
