**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Learning Experience Designer to join our team at Altec Industries. This role will be responsible for creating engaging and effective training content that meets the needs of our customers.

About the Role:

The Learning Experience Designer will work closely with subject matter experts and end-users to design and develop high-quality training materials, including online courses, job aids, and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and edit photos and videos needed for training material
  • Lead and take ownership of a program throughout its design and development life cycle
  • Collaborate with end-users and subject matter experts to determine best way to meet training or performance support needs
  • Solicit feedback from all stakeholders to ensure training materials meet the needs of the end-user and support business goals
  • Engage in peer and quality check reviews for other team members
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design principles to create efficient, effective, and engaging learning activities, course content, and job aids
  • Communicate complex topics in a way that is easy to understand
  • Design illustrations, diagrams, animations, instructional hand-outs, infographics, presentations, and online courses

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree highly desired or equivalent directly applicable experience on a year for year basis
  • High proficiency in video editing software (Da Vinci Resolve, Premier Pro, Camtasia)
  • Proficiency in software tools to design illustrations, diagrams, animations, instructional hand-outs, infographics, presentations, and online courses (with correct use of fonts, shapes, colors, and composition)(Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator)
  • Experience creating courses using authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise) and uploading and maintaining courses on an LMS
  • Excellent written communication skills (job aids, effective copy, instructional text, audio/video scripts)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (one-on-one discussion, explanation, persuasion, presentation)

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
