Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Strategist to lead the financial planning and analysis efforts at the Alaska Native Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure the long-term financial viability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive financial plans and budgets that align with our organizational goals
  • Supervise and coordinate the financial reporting and budgeting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Exercise strong leadership skills to direct subordinate financial professional staff in managing a wide range of financial functions
  • Provide financial advice to executive management on fiscal- and revenue-related decisions
  • Monitor regional trends in healthcare financial management and recommend technical improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Hospital Administration or a related field
  • Progressively responsible professional work experience in healthcare finance, preferably as a CFO or in an executive/management level position at an organization of similar size and complexity
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed financial decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Financial management experience at a senior director level
  • Certification by the Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
