Gaudenzia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team at our Serenity House Women's Program in Harrisburg, PA. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with clients to achieve their recovery objectives.
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings to identify client needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Document all clinical services and interventions in client electronic health records, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Participate in funding source reviews and make recommendations for treatment and lengths of stay.
- Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Hold a professional license or certification in a relevant field (e.g., CAC, CADC, LCADC, LSW, LICSW, LGSW).
- Meet Pennsylvania licensure requirements, including holding a professional license through DOC or being credentialed through PCB at the time of hire.
- Have a minimum of two years' clinical experience or a Bachelor's degree with one year of clinical experience.
