School Psychologist Role for District-Wide Services

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team at Beach Park School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing district-wide services to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with screenings to identify students who may require special educational interventions.
- Attend building referral team meetings to discuss student needs and develop strategies for support.
- Understand and implement the Response to Intervention (RtI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process for eligibility.
- Conduct case study evaluations to identify student strengths and areas for growth.
- Provide verbal and written reports of findings to inform instruction and support.
- Chair and attend multidisciplinary conferences (MDCs) to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Consult with school personnel to develop and implement behavior management and learning strategies.
- Consult and counsel with parents and students to address school-related concerns.
- Provide consultation and support for individualized educational programs and needs.
- Develop and deliver relevant inservice education for school personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research in the field.
- Make recommendations for ways to support students referred for examination.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in the development of Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Observe students in various school environments as needed to inform instruction and support.
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by an administrator.
- Appropriate State of Illinois Certificate
- Strong knowledge of RtI and MTSS processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel and parents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
