Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Developmental Services, Inc. - Washington. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to clients, promoting their independence and self-direction.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, focusing on communication skills, daily living skills, socialization, and fine and gross motor skills.
  • Document client progress, behaviors, and incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
