Overview:

As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technicians by ensuring the accurate identification and procurement of automotive components. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining efficient operations and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist both internal and external customers in identifying and obtaining the correct automotive parts for their vehicles.
  • Manage the receipt and organization of parts shipments.
  • Oversee the integration of parts into our inventory management system.
  • Ensure the parts inventory is well-organized, accurate, and stocked appropriately.
  • Implement controls on service supplies to reduce waste.
  • Utilize the AutoMation system for parts allocation.
  • Process returns of incorrect or defective parts to suppliers.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and accurately document data.
  • Proficient in using computers, particularly with spreadsheet applications.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues across various departments.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with numeric filing systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Completion of CarMax training in all aspects of the parts process.

Work Environment:

This position primarily involves working indoors, although you may occasionally encounter noisy conditions or inclement weather. You should be prepared for extended periods of standing or walking. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
