The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiac and vascular conditions.
Qualifications:Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in either a hospital or outpatient setting. Completion of a specialized cardiovascular training program is essential.
Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required. Additionally, candidates should hold a registry in Vascular Sonography (RVT or RVS) from either ARDMS or CCI.
Key Responsibilities:Under limited supervision, the specialist will:
- Conduct a comprehensive array of non-invasive vascular and cardiac examinations.
- Provide exceptional patient care while performing diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret results and develop treatment plans.
