Creative Therapist

The Expressive Arts Therapist is responsible for delivering clinical services to children, adolescents and/or adults as assigned. The clinician is accountable for all related clinical, administrative and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

• Provide Art Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families
• Maintain high-quality service standards and achieve direct service hours per month of 60% for advanced clinicians and 56% for others
• Create IMCANS (IATP) Assessments
• Complete IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modify and review as needed
• Update and record IATP in CIS as needed and ensure updates are completed prior to six months due date
• Case management
• Client-centered consultation with community providers
• Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
• Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed
• Provide clinical supervision to student interns
• Provide timely completion of Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) (for adults)
• Provide timely completion of Columbia and Ohio Scales (for children)
• Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
• Maintain productivity goals as determined by supervisor
• Be responsive to the business office regarding client fees/payments
• Participate in Accreditation and Certification processes as directed
• Participate in Committee Work as directed
• Participate in Strategic Planning as appropriate
• Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
• Represent the agency with integrity

• Assess client needs using drawing, music, painting, sculpting, theater, movement, or other expressive processes-based interventions
• Conduct creative or expressive art therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to help participants feel an increased sense of wellbeing, connection, improved self-esteem, and empathy for others
• Establish therapeutic goals or objectives for creative or expressive art therapy sessions in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor or Director
