Creative Therapist

The Expressive Arts Therapist is responsible for delivering clinical services to children, adolescents and/or adults as assigned. The clinician is accountable for all related clinical, administrative and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Art Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families
- Maintain high-quality service standards and achieve direct service hours per month of 60% for advanced clinicians and 56% for others
- Create IMCANS (IATP) Assessments
- Complete IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modify and review as needed
- Update and record IATP in CIS as needed and ensure updates are completed prior to six months due date
- Case management
- Client-centered consultation with community providers
- Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
- Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed
- Provide clinical supervision to student interns
- Provide timely completion of Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) (for adults)
- Provide timely completion of Columbia and Ohio Scales (for children)
- Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
- Maintain productivity goals as determined by supervisor
- Be responsive to the business office regarding client fees/payments
- Participate in Accreditation and Certification processes as directed
- Participate in Committee Work as directed
- Participate in Strategic Planning as appropriate
- Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
- Represent the agency with integrity
- Assess client needs using drawing, music, painting, sculpting, theater, movement, or other expressive processes-based interventions
- Conduct creative or expressive art therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to help participants feel an increased sense of wellbeing, connection, improved self-esteem, and empathy for others
- Establish therapeutic goals or objectives for creative or expressive art therapy sessions in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor or Director
