Job Summary

The Information Security organization at Entergy offers a unique opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in a real-world information technology and operational technology environment. This internship provides a chance to work on security operations, security engineering, and vulnerability management, culminating in a report and presentation to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and document data assets and data points
  • Assist in producing dashboards and reports for data as instructed
  • Assist in identifying and triaging security incidents
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of incidents or requests for support through our issues tracking application
  • Manage system access through various toolsets, as required
  • Gain an understanding of existing business processes and systems
  • Assist in integrating data from multiple sources to draw conclusions regarding Entergy's security posture
  • Assist in identifying gaps in security monitoring with MITRE technique mapping
  • Interface with other groups and Business Units
Requirements
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Security Systems, Management of Information Systems (MIS), or relevant field
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher required (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future
Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, requiring occasional travel up to 25% of the time. As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
