Nurse Practitioner

The State of Nebraska is seeking a dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Western Nebraska Veterans' Home. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive work environment.
Salary
$25.061-$36.944 per hour, with opportunities for education- and experience-based increases within fiscal constraints, plus $3 per hour differential and shift differentials up to $1.75 per hour.
About the Job
We are looking for an experienced LPN who can work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, charting patient records, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact. You should have knowledge of licensed practical nursing theory and practice, principles and techniques of patient care and treatments, medication administration procedures and practices, and care and use of medical equipment and supplies. Additionally, you will need the ability to evaluate nursing needs, exercise competent judgment, communicate effectively, and interact with patients and colleagues in a positive manner.
