Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

The Fleet Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of company products by maintaining and repairing mechanical diesel transportation equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and services on mechanical transportation equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on mechanical transportation equipment, including electrical systems, powertrain, air, and brake systems, and suspension systems.
  • Utilize personal tools to perform duties and maintain fleet tires.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • One year of post-secondary education or equivalent experience in general transportation equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Must obtain a Class A or B CDL permit and DOT certification within six months of hire.
  • Must obtain EPA licensing and/or certifications within three months.
  • Must obtain Brake Inspector Certification and Annual Inspector Certification within three months.
