Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our medical team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide primary care medical services to our patients in accordance with your training, experience, and licensure.

You will participate as a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate healthcare to those who need it most.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including obstetrics, family planning, newborn care, pediatrics, and general adult care.
  • Meet minimum patient care productivity requirements to ensure we meet the needs of our patients and funding sources.
  • Provide continuous, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive healthcare of the highest quality.
  • Engage in case management to ensure seamless care for our patients.
  • Document all necessary information in patient records, including education, medications, referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care.
  • Contribute to special clinics, such as our migrant camp program.
  • Supervise support staff in patient management and provide day-to-day guidance.
  • Participate in case management reviews and discussions, including OB patients and diabetics.
  • Assist in implementing plans to meet annual health plan objectives and other goals established by our QA/QI committee.
  • Conduct chart audits to assess the success of our QA/QI program.
  • Attend medical staff, OB, QA/QI meetings, and other committees focused on improving patient care and overall operations.
  • Supervise students and residents in healthcare professions and collaborate with community groups and agencies to enhance our integration into the community.
  • Support the Medical or Executive Director in fulfilling the work of the center.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills (preferred) and a willingness to become proficient in Spanish to provide medical care.
  • A strong commitment to working with diverse patients and staff from various ethnic, economic, cultural, and social backgrounds.
  • Completion of a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant training program approved by the State of Oregon.
  • Licensure by the State of Oregon Board of Nursing or Board of Medical Examiners, as well as DEA registration.
Salary and Benefits
