**National Guard Employment Network** is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Pittsfield, MA. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building and wiring production assemblies, repairing and replacing hardware, and assisting in the development of future production assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Build and wire production assemblies, including solder and wire, fiber optics, and similar assembly efforts.
- Repair and replace hardware as needed.
- Assist in the development of future production assemblies.
- Operate various computer programs related to the position, including time recording and access to shop planning and business instructions.
- Read, interpret, and work from drawings, schematics, wiring lists, and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, travelers, planning, and verbal directions.
- Set up and maintain workstations and related materials, including solder and cleaning stations, control of age-controlled items, and hazardous materials and consumables.
- Perform material identification and paint touch-up.
- May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.
- May perform verification of other employee's work.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Related experience and/or training are desirable.
- Ability to operate various computer programs related to the position.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, schematics, wiring lists, and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, travelers, planning, and verbal directions.
- Ability to set up and maintain workstations and related materials.
- Ability to perform material identification and paint touch-up.
- Ability to give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.
- Ability to perform verification of other employee's work.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to some variation in work area temperature, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Additional InformationThis position requires 100% on-site work in the facility. The target salary range is USD $25.21/Hr. - USD $26.05/Hr.
