We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Databricks to join our data team. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, integration processes, and infrastructure, collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure efficient data flow and support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines, integration processes, and infrastructure using Azure Databricks.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure efficient data flow and support data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure, including data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure Databricks features and best practices.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including workspace creation, VNet injection, and isolated deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Azure DataBricks workspace deployment, including prerequisites for launching an Azure Databricks workspace.
  • Experience with Azure DataBricks Security fundamentals, including access control, authentication, and authorization.
  • Knowledge of Databricks File System, Hive Metastore, and Presto concepts.
  • Ability to apply best practices to secure access to Azure data storage from Azure Databricks.
  • Elementary level knowledge of AKS, Helm, and kubectl.
  • Customer obsession, ownership, and bias for action.
  • Excellent remote collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with diverse priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration and listening skills.
  • Ability to work with agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to ideate requirements, design, and iterate with business partners without formal requirements documentation.
  • Excellent ability to document the roadmap for the entire organization and coach junior Azure Platform Admins to implement best practices.
