Overview: The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) is seeking a qualified Substitute School Nurse to provide healthcare services to students in our schools. Our school district prioritizes the health and well-being of our students, and as a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in ensuring their needs are met.

About the Role:
The Substitute School Nurse will perform various tasks related to student health, including health screenings, responding to emergencies, and providing follow-up care as needed. You will also collaborate with parents and healthcare providers to ensure students receive necessary medical care. As a team player, you will participate in crisis intervention and provide emergency care when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform health assessments and respond to student health crises
  • Monitor students with communicable diseases and report any concerns to relevant authorities
  • Collaborate with parents and healthcare professionals to develop individualized healthcare plans for students
  • Provide first aid and basic life support as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Ohio Provisional School Nurse Certificate
  • Experience working in public health or education settings
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Estimated Salary: $159.23 per day

Work Location: Administration or As Assigned.
