Position Summary
As a Trailer Repair Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers to ensure the fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough routine inspections and diagnostic assessments on trailers to identify any damage and report to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to established safety standards and quality control measures throughout all work processes.
  • Carry out regular servicing and maintenance tasks, documenting all repairs using the maintenance software system.
  • Perform repairs on various systems including air brakes, suspension, landing gear, foundation brakes, electrical systems, coupler systems, decking, and understructure.
  • Execute welding repairs in various positions as required.
  • Assist with minor repairs on terminal tractors as needed.
  • Test drive equipment to verify proper functionality.
  • Support fellow mechanics when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company policies.
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair times.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card; forklift operator certification is preferred.
