Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technician to join our Women's Health team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of expectant mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist MFM physician in history taking and presentation of complex MFM patient cases
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for prenatal care, including fetal anatomy scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies
  • Practice sterile technique and prevent cross contamination
  • Travel to outreach clinics as needed
  • Assist in the transfer of patients to and from the examination table and operate proper immobilization devices for positioning or transporting as required
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) from an accredited program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
  • Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and image processing software
  • Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy, physiology, and prenatal development
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers
