Position Overview: The Medical Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality x-ray images of designated anatomical regions as instructed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Execute x-ray examinations utilizing portable equipment as required by the Emergency Department and nursing teams.
  • Process imaging films for review and interpretation by radiologists in accordance with established protocols.
  • Engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, providing clear communication both in-person and via phone.
  • Ensure the maintenance and operational efficiency of x-ray and related equipment; foster collaborative relationships within the department and across units to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited radiological training program and eligibility for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
