At Alpha Matrix, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve developing and maintaining drive, controls, and SCADA system best practices through collaboration with other process technology teams.

About the Role

This is an exceptional chance for an experienced Electrical Controls Specialist to work on various functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

  • Conduct training of customer employees for proper adjustments and operations, promoting efficiency and safety.

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion within budget, leveraging expertise in automation, drive, and control systems.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering, with a strong background in National Electric Code.

  • Knowledgeable with PLCs, including Allen Bradley ControlLogix, and proficient in programming languages such as function block and structural text.

  • Experience with drive systems, including AB Powerflex and ABB, as well as HMI software like Factory Talk Studio, RSView 32, AVEVA (Wonderware), and Intellution.

  • Data collection systems expertise, including AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian and Intellution, is also required.

  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-directed, and able to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

Salary Estimate

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
