Position Overview:

PeopleTec is seeking a Senior Software Mobile Security Reverse Engineer to enhance our team. This role involves performing reverse engineering and vulnerability assessments of software across various platforms, including mobile, to support national security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of software binaries from mobile operating systems.
  • Utilize tools such as Ghidra or IDAPro for analyzing application-level and low-level device code.
  • Engage in software dynamic analysis employing JTAG, gdb, OllyDbg, and WinDbg.
  • Prototype exploitation capabilities, focusing on vulnerabilities like use-after-free and heap overflows.
  • Develop software systems in assembly, C, or C++ across various operating systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in software development, including experience with scripting languages such as Python or C/C++.
  • At least 5 years of experience in reverse engineering mobile software binaries.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architecture and assembly language programming.
  • Knowledge of operating system internals for Windows, Linux, or MacOS.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Agile software development environments.
  • Proficiency in analyzing malware and reverse engineering x86 Windows binaries.
  • Understanding of security features in Android and iOS platforms.
