As a Registered Nurse, you play a crucial role in our facilities, with your expertise being essential to the quality of care we provide. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients every day.
Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will:
- Oversee the daily operations of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with current regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Conduct nursing reports with assigned nursing assistants and review the 24-hour summary report in the electronic medical record for assigned residents.
- Assist with nursing assignments as needed and conduct rounds on assigned residents throughout your shifts.
- Manage the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents as required.
- Document all necessary information regarding resident incidents and investigations.
- Notify the resident's provider and next of kin in the event of an accident, incident, or change in condition.
- Ensure that all medications and treatments are administered and documented before the end of your shift, updating the Nursing Supervisor on any changes in resident conditions.
- Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians, recording them in the electronic health record, and prepare and administer medications as directed.
- Inform nursing staff of new admissions, their expected arrival times, and room assignments, ensuring that rooms are prepared for new residents.
- Ensure nursing documentation accurately reflects adherence to care plans when providing nursing care or treatment, reviewing care plans for appropriate goals, problems, approaches, and revisions based on nursing needs.
- Update care plans as necessary.
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse with a current state nursing license. Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
