Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishwasher and Janitorial Assistant at The Salvation Army in Port Angeles. This is a part-time position requiring 27.5 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and clean all trays, dishes, pots, pans, and food preparation equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining area, and other facilities.
  • Operate a desktop or laptop computer and use basic warehouse equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks.
  • Collect and load food donations using the Soup Kitchen truck.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
