Job Title: Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at Synerfac. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing product lines to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct end-to-end evaluation and testing of Microcontroller-based controllers and their software with UPS Inverter hardware.
  • Test electronics units and software, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
  • Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
  • Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using hand tools or soldering iron.
  • Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools.
  • Provide engineering support or recommendations for new or existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades, or enhancements.
  • Record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, or specifications.
  • Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use.
  • Document technical design details.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with coursework in Electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Use of PCB layout tool Altium, physics, mathematics, and statistics.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the power electronics (more specific to UPS and emergency back-up) industry.
  • Experience in Power electronics and UPS topology.
  • Proficient Knowledge in:
    • DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC conversion design and analysis.
    • PCB design (Altium).
    • Analog and Digital Circuit Designs.
    • LTSpice.
    • Thermal Design and analysis (FLOW simulation).
  • Experience with PIC controller is a plus.
  • Understanding of UL924 is a plus.
  • Familiar with the lab environment to conduct system level testing.
  • Must be flexible, proactive, and innovative.
  • Must enjoy working with new technology in a fast-paced environment.
