Key Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient data, including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, and medication history.
- Anticipate and prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist with exams and procedures as requested, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize written policies and procedures to perform lab and diagnostic tests, and document results.
- Assist with scheduling patients for office appointments, lab tests, and referrals.
- Complete charge tickets and submit charges in the electronic health record, ensuring accurate billing and coding.
- Graduate of a school of nursing or medical assistant program.
- Current Iowa license as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
