Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the Burn Center/ICU. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and implementing clinical objectives in the assigned area.

Responsibilities
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure population-appropriate patient care.
  • Delegate appropriate duties to clinical and non-clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, in accordance with the applicable State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Gather information from other team members and use this data to plan for the care of all patients on the unit for the shift.
  • Evaluate the care delivered by other staff members and provide direct and immediate feedback and coaching, as well as ongoing verbal and written feedback to the clinical leader on the performance of staff.
  • Participate in the hiring process for new staff members assigned to the shift by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations to the clinical leader.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
