Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, with a strong focus on providing high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for performing a range of surgical procedures, including Cardiac and Thoracic surgeries. Additionally, you will participate in educational programs, contribute to research initiatives, and engage in quality improvement activities. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential for this role.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must be Board certified or board eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery. A valid South Carolina medical license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication. A 1:3 call schedule will be in place, and robotic surgery opportunities will be available for those interested.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes a salary estimated to be around $450,000 per year, based on national averages for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a similar location. Comprehensive benefits, PTO, CME allowance, and occurrence-based malpractice coverage are also included.
