Job Title: Lead Sheet Metal Installer

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Lead Sheet Metal Installer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a Lead Sheet Metal Installer, you will be responsible for installing sheet metal components, including hanging straps, ducting, and uni-strut hangers, while working at heights on ladders and scissor lifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install sheet metal components, including hanging straps, ducting, and uni-strut hangers
  • Work at heights on ladders and scissor lifts
  • Select gauges and types of sheet metal or non-metallic material according to product specifications
  • Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
  • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Journeymen/Foreman in sheet metal installation
  • Commercial and industrial experience
  • Ability to handle sheet metal tools and equipment
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
