We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool team at Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a variety of critical care environments, including ICU.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and coordinate with other healthcare team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
- ASN/ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain BSN from an accredited program within four years of hire, unless possessing a minimum of 15 years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an ICU setting.
- Two years of nursing experience.
- One year of critical care experience, including ICU or ED.
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
