Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of courses in Communications, including introductory and advanced classes, as well as specialized courses in areas such as journalism, advertising, and mass communications.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection, career goals, and academic progress.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, such as curriculum development, program assessment, and faculty development.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Communications and apply this knowledge to teaching and advising.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communications or a related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Communications.
  • Three years of college-level teaching experience, preferably in a diverse student population.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software and technologies, including Blackboard Vista and other online platforms.
