Key Responsibilities:
As an Underground and Earthworks Estimator, your primary duties will include:
  • Developing detailed cost estimates tailored to project specifications.
  • Conducting research on pricing based on historical data and regional market trends.
  • Preparing summary estimates and managing control worksheets.
  • Analyzing project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation.
  • Collaborating with senior estimators to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Working alongside project managers and engineers to ensure precision in estimates.
  • Researching and engaging with local suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identifying potential cost-saving measures and enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Maintaining organized records of all estimates and communications.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of bid proposals as required.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in construction estimation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Heavy/Highway projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented work ethic.
