We're seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Retail Inventory Specialist to join our team at Bass Pro Shops

\

Main Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Maintain and promote inventory accuracy by reviewing various inventory reports, conducting on-demand audits, and communicating results with store management.\
  • Partner with the sales floor, receiving teams, and retail leadership to ensure inventory accuracy, promote replenishment, and mitigate merchandise loss and shrink.\
  • Perform various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers, handling merchandise with care, providing information and assistance, and making recommendations based on customer needs.\
  • Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, making product recommendations, promoting programs like CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up, and providing exceptional customer service.\
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring that all variances are reconciled and reported to management.\
  • Review and distribute price change reports to department leadership, making necessary adjustments based on returned reports.\
  • Communicate opportunities, issues, and discrepancies with Store Leadership for review and resolution.\
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in inventory management, customer service, and sales techniques.\
  • Requirements and Qualifications:\

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.\
    • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to write reports and present findings to management.\
    • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to process and organize information accurately.\
    • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a collaborative team environment.\
    • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.\
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with regular computer work and occasional ladder usage.\
    • Demonstrate independent judgment, analyzing problems and performing needs assessments to make informed decisions.\
    • Able to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\
    • Able to work effectively with a diverse team, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.\
