As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results. You will also be responsible for notifying donors of unsuitable test results and working under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician for operational and medical issues.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical or hospital settings, with a current EMT-Paramedic license and CPR/AED certification. You will also be required to fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy and complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the development of life-changing medicines. You will be part of a team that is committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality care to our donors.
What You Will Bring- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Current EMT-Paramedic license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
