Nursing Supervisor - LPN/RN
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver direct nursing care to residents while overseeing the daily nursing operations conducted by nursing assistants. This oversight must align with the prevailing federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our establishment, as well as directives from the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor, ensuring that the highest quality of care is consistently upheld.
Position Type: Part-Time and Per Diem for LPN
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm the identity of residents prior to administering medications or treatments.
- Engage in employee performance assessments, assess staffing needs for your shift, and provide recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor regarding employee dismissals, transfers, and other personnel matters.
- Welcome newly admitted residents upon their arrival and assist them to their designated rooms as necessary.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in the orientation process for new residents and their family members to familiarize them with the facility.
- Contribute to the development, planning, execution, and scheduling of in-service training sessions aimed at enhancing job performance and ensuring a knowledgeable nursing service department.
