Job Title: Substitute Child Nutrition

We are seeking a Substitute Child Nutrition professional to join our team at ESS Education. As a Substitute Child Nutrition, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students receive nutritious and delicious meals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in serving meals to students, ensuring that food is delivered in good condition and reporting any shortages or issues to the Child Nutrition Department.
  • Prepare all food items on the menu, following recipes and guidelines to ensure high-quality meals.
  • Set up the counter to facilitate efficient and accurate food service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for students to eat meals, adhering to sanitary methods and good personal hygiene practices.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of the Child Nutrition program.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and pull up to 40 pounds of packaged frozen food and prepared food on a daily basis.
  • Capacity to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to food service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in food service or a related field preferred.
